As a parent or carer, you play a key role in helping your child to stay safe online.

You don’t need to be an expert on the internet to help keep your child stay safe online. It is important to have regular conversation about staying safe online and to encourage children to speak to you if they come across something worrying online. Parental controls are the names for a group of settings that put you in control of what content your child can see. Combined with privacy settings these can help you protect your children from the things they shouldn’t see or experience online.
